What were they thinking when they designed this thing?

Where to begin really. Well apparently Martin Luther King ended the civil war. I did the shoot for the "A New Birth Of Freedom" movie they show, and am ASHAMED OF IT! The movie is 22 minutes long, the first 12 or so is the telling of how the civil war war fought only to end slavery... I don't feel I need to go into that. They also go on in length that Lincoln declared war to free the slaves, and he freed ALL the slaves. Lincoln didn't free slave one as the proclomation only freed slaves in southern states so as to not anger northern slave owners. It was supposed to be about the BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG! The the last five minutes is about Martin Luther King. So you get about five minutes of info about the actual battle.

Lets move on to the museum. The few items on display (all 1% that was in the old museum) were hanging on peg-board. One-hundred-thirty million dollars for hardware store peg-board. A lot of the displays are all reproduction. When you first walk in there is a sign that says, "A Nation Conceived In Liberty?" then proceeds to take you on a maze of pictures of slaves, shackles, cells, whips, etc. The museum was a history of slavery with little info about the battle. The damn book store was bigger than any display in the entire place.

Oh and when I say the uniforms and such were repo, they were not even good repos. Any reenactor who walks in there could even tell you what stores the items came from! I really loved the "letter a soldier wrote home" IN MODERN WRITING AND WORDING!!!
